A lot of people know me as co-owner of Austin Hair Graft, a laser technician for over 25 years, mother of triplets, and Dr. Hall’s wife.  But many of you may not know that around the time I turned forty I started noticing significant changes in my hair.  I began to have lots of hair breakage and thinning at my temples.  I have a lot of hair in general so I was able to style my hair most of the time in a way that hid the thinning, but the continued slow receding definitely bothered me.

In 2011, after having seen a real need among our patients, we decided to incorporate hair restoration into our plastic surgery practice.  Austin Hair Graft was formed with the goal of offering patients a comprehensive surgical and non-surgical approach to hair rejuvenation.  I decided early the following year to undergo FUE (follicular unit extraction) hair transplantation to fill in the thinning hair at my temples.

I was surprised by how quick and easy the entire process was.  I slept, watched movies on our office iPad, and listened to praise music throughout my treatment.  Even after my treatment I was very comfortable.  I had no trouble sleeping, had minimal pain and swelling, and was even back to work the next day.  I still can’t believe it’s been 4 years since I had the procedure!  I loved my first procedure so much, that in 2013, I decided to have a second FUE transplant procedure to restore my thinning eyebrows.  The amazing thing is that you would never know I had ever had hair restoration.  So many of our patients are completely taken by surprise when I share my story with them.  I am truly so happy I made the decision for myself to have both procedures.  It has helped restore a more youthful appearance to my hairline and brows that I absolutely love.

My results are amazingly natural and I’ve continued to have fantastic growth over all these years, especially as I’ve continued our post hair transplantation maintenance protocols.  I encourage you to schedule a complimentary consultation with our trained medical professionals if you’ve been considering hair restoration.  Let us go over options with you and develop a comprehensive treatment plan so you know all your available options.
